Verti-Jet Pressure Leaf Filter
The unit's rectangular leaves are mounted vertically on a discharge manifold at the bottom of the tank. To inspect leaf surfaces, the top cover is simply opened and leaves can be visually inspected without removing them from the tank shell.
Three filter designs are offered to provide the best filtration:
- Light duty leaves are constructed of a single center mesh for drainage, covered by a fine outer mesh. This type of filter not recommended for textile cloth coverings.
- Standard leaves feature a perforated, corrugated metal, center-drainage member covered by fine mesh or textile cloth. This design is also available with an intermediate screen layer between the drainage member and the outer covering.
- Heavy-duty leaves consist of a perforated corrugated metal member which serves as drainage channel and forms a rigid foundation for the assembly. Intermediate back-up screens are fastened over each side of the base screen to "cushion" the outer fine mesh or textile cloth covering.
The outlet nozzles in all three designs are sealed to the outlet manifold with an O-ring gasket.
